Yuzki stood up straighter, from behind the boys, now directly in front of the door. He soothed back his hair, and straightened his tail coat. Reaching into a pocket he pulled out a golden pocket-watch and clicked it open, looking at the time. If he appeared to frighten the children- he didn't mean too. He was simply being Yuzki, he was simply being a vampire, and a proper vampire. He respected everyone, served everyone, protected Alistair and the citizens. He worked for Averia and would work for the rest of the life.
He could sense their distaste in him, though it didn't bother Yuzki. Humans often had a strong distaste for his race, they weren't alive very much were they? Vampires had been shunned for decades upon decades. "I would be delighted." He answered Averia, with the same sly, enthusiasm.
"Please, do try to calm yourselves. You are in safe hands at Circo Phantasia. He spoke with gentleness, a surprise and change in his tone. "This place will be lucky to have you." He blinked and nodded thoughtfully. "Once you finish with the Ringmaster- if it is alright with Miss Aveira, you could finish touring or perhaps get yourself food at the dinning hall."He smiled as if he thought these were the best choices and folded his hands behind his back.

What hadn't she covered with the boys? School, dining, work, hmmm... "They probably need to know the rules, Ringmaster. I believe I only discussed the ones that came up in the conversation." She had known Cyril wouldn't listen to her if she had dolled out a long list of rules. But maybe he would listen if Alistair explained them. "And they were asking about Circo's history. Lyric would love to hear about that." She would too, but she wasn't going to mention that. She glanced at Yuzki for a moment. He had just served the Ringmaster tea. Was he free for awhile? Hopefully. She wasn't quite sure she could put up with Cyril's moaning about the heat.
"They also need their room assignment, and possibly placement testing for school." Many oddities were far behind their human peers when it came to schooling, but that was to be expected. Most never attended school or only attended for a short amount of time. Would they get a roommate? They were technically two people. And Cyril probably wouldn't do well sharing a room with anyone but Lyric. He was such a spiny little thing. Kinda like a sea urchin.
Great. Now she would never get that connection out of her head.
"I believe that is all.

After Yuzki had slightly backed off from them, the two boys visibly tensed less. Lyric knew he meant well, it was just that... The oddities, despite their intrigue, would take some time getting used to. Some of them would not be as blatant about who they were. Yuzki and Alistair seemed to be that classification of people. Despite his intent on paying attention to the master of the circus, Yuzki did bring up an excellent point. He knew his stomach was empty and so was his brother's. The two required a lot of food in order to sustain their odd metabolism. Lyric swiveled his torso to face the man behind him much like a snake would, but could only go so far back as he could hurt his brother's connected spine. "Food... Sounds like a good idea. Cy, after we finish up here, can we go get something to eat?" He asked as he slowly turned around to place his hands on his brother's shoulders once more. Cyril nodded in response, mumbling a small 'of course' for only him to hear. The dominant twin then looked back from his brother to the Ringmaster. He sort of paid attention to what Aveira said. Sort of.
"Okay, Mister Ringmaster. Tell me- what do I have to do to not end up in trouble." Cyril demanded, crossing his arms.
Alistair blinked when the straightforward question was thrown at him. He sat silent for a few seconds as to think of a response, with Cyril's patience weathering by the second. "Well..." He began with a dreamy tone. "No violence, the curfew is at 11 o'clock p.m. sharp, no littering, attend school when needed, respect everyone especially the staff... Those are the most crucial ones in my opinion... Oh, and please do not leave the fairgrounds without permission once you have sworn loyalty to us. We will give you time to make your decision for wether or not you would like to stay..." Alistair muttered chiefly. Despite his brief speech, Cyril still managed to sidetrack by watching the various flames of the chandelier above the master, wondering if the whole thing will one day tumble down and set everything on fire. Heh, no one will know what to do with themselves if that happened. When he heard that he had finished Cyril looked back to him with a lazy expression and an uncaring disposition.
"Oh, huh? Oh. Yeah, cool. Sounds easy enough. You got it." Cyril dismissed, immediately looking away from the Ringmaster after he was through. Why did older people always assume that the younger generation would listen even if there was an attempt to dummy it down for them? Cyril didn't care no matter what, which led to Lyric's further dismay. Well, at least he cared. Lyric looked up to the Ringmaster with slight discomfort. Still, there was a genuine sweetness in his eyes.
"I would love to hear about the history of this place, if you don't mind, of course. Oh, and about housing and schooling, please take your time-"
"Hey, I gotta question for all ya, especially Mister lurks-a-lot back here." Cyril butted in while spinning in his heels to face Yuzki. "So, I keep hearing all this talk about this Circus de freaky or whatnot, and I gotta say, I ain't seeing much freak here. It's obvious what we are, I mean it's odd enough that we share everything below the belt. So. What are you? What is mister Ringmaster over there? Aveira... God I don't even remember what she is." Cyril blatantly stated, leaning against the ancient wall without looking up.

Yuzki took in everything that was said by Aveira. Circo’s history was quite a long story, a magnificent one if any however. All these requirements could easily be taken care of by him or Alistair if needed, and Yuzki was fully prepared to. Yuzki studied the two of the boys carefully, watching their movements with bright eyes, and noted their behavior. He wouldn’t be forgetting anything soon. They were two truly different people in one body. The one was prickly, and snappy, he seemed less educated to Yuzki while the other was shier, and more ready to listen. It was very odd, but that was all Circo was about.
”The circus has plenty of wonderful choices of food, I’m sure you will be satisfied.” Yuzki beamed down at them, sharp, white, teeth glinting in the light above. Yuzki waited patiently for the Master to finish listing off the rules. The one boy did not seem very interested, well if he broke the rules, he would find out what happens. Everyone needs a timeout once and a while. Though they might learn the hard way from some other freak, not all were nice. Many of the oddities had grown up with crappy lives, and were not afraid to punch the next living thing.
”My name is Yuzki.” He said, sounding slightly insulted, as if he thought the boy really didn’t know his name; though the question presented, sent his stomach in spirals. Yuzki was not easily frightened, and he made no show of his feelings. He kept the same, proud look on his face, except the red in his eyes seemed to glow even brighter in the dim room. He took a deep breath, and pulled his coat closer to him. ”You would find out soon enough. Yuzki murmured the words softly. ”I am what you humans call…a vampire. Where the word started is lost to me, but in order for my survival I must feed upon blood. Please do not be alarmed.”

Sure Yuzki. Go right on ahead and tell the kids, who were obviously already wary of you, that you're a vampire. Aveira sighed softly. "Yuzki is the Ringmaster's personal assistant, and has worked with me many times in security. You have nothing to fear from him. You have no reason to fear anyone in the Circo. Tempers do flare, and fights happen, but we all try our bests to get along." And those who didn't, well, what happened to them depending on a variety of things. But the boys wouldn't have to deal with that. Cyril wouldn't uproot his brother again. One day, they hadn't even tasted Circo life yet, and Lyric was hooked. One brother would find a home here at least.
"Yuzki is a vampire, I'm a genetically altered lie detector, and the Ringmaster will explain his gift if he so wishes." She was learning how to paraphrase as to keep Cyril's attention at least. She wouldn't give the Ringmaster's secret away though. Sure, she had told the boys before that it was something to do with fear, but that had been necessary. They needed to be prepared for the uncomfortable feelings the Ringmaster normally made people feel.
She should have warned them about Yuzki though. Clearly the vampire had made more of an impression than the Ringmaster. Honestly, it was quite amusing. He would never harm a fly, at least not while he was sane and the Circo was safe.

Well, he'd be damned if his question wasn't answered properly. As soon as it was muttered, the word vampire bumped in both of their heads, with two different reactions. Lyric was decent with inductive reasoning. Yuzki was faster than a human, had a hungry look in his eyes when he first met them (and still sort of does), had a certain inhuman smoothness in his actions... Oh, and not to mention he had fangs as well. Despite the insistence from both Aveira and Yuzki that he was harmless, he couldn't help but to feel a certain threat arise from him. He wasn't kidding. He didn't need him to demonstrate in order to believe him; why would an official lie to him? He slightly shivered now with his presence behind him. "V...Vampire?" Lyric murmured softly. He didn't want to tempt Aveira with her power and knew she didn't like to be touched. Just as the twins had pet peeves about the assumptions others had about them, Lyric was sure that all three of these people did as well. He did his best to smile pleasantly as he knew he had to try to get used to everything eventually. "How interesting." He replied in a near whisper, hugging on to his brother tighter.
Cyril, on the other hand, didn't even attempt to understand or believe him. He simply rolled his eyes, exhaled, and exclaimed a "Bullsh*t.". He crossed his arms and cocked an eyebrow. He was a see it to believe it kind of person, and so far he had no reason to believe anybody in this room. "A vampire? Seriously? What next, you're going to tell me that the ringmaster is the bogeyman?" Cyril snorted, while the ringmaster who had just been innocently drinking his tea nearly choked. The Ringmaster looked alarmed while the boy went on his rant, gulping before deciding to step in.
"I understand that it may be difficult to believe. I am sure that as time goes on you may believe everything here sufficiently more. As the old saying goes, reality is often times stranger than fiction." Alistair then chuckled so quietly it wasn't hardly audible. At the question of his ability he paused for a moment to think of an answer. "As for what makes me an oddity..." He swallowed before continuing. "That information remains strictly confidential."

[atrb=border,0,true][bg=eeeeee][atrb=width,500,true] NEVER FORGET, NEVER REGRET — THAT ISOLATED SHELL OF PROTECTION EXISTS NEVERMORE. WORDS Ain't nobody got time to count. MUSE Small actions, make small posts. So sorry! TAGGED Viva, Nuri NOTES Might bring Carter in "It will get better, it always does." Yuzki smiled with a cute, slant of the head. His hands were still folded behind his back, and he awaited for once, still by the door. "Not too interesting Mr. Lyric." Yuzki addressed him properly. " Yes, my duty is to help the Ringmaster and the circus as much as possible while I am here." He responded to Aveira, nodding in her direction. Yuzki was getting many more of a mixed message from Cyril on the other hand. His entire body tensed at the word of "boogy-man". He gripped his hands more firmly behind his back in order to keep his posture up. "I am sorry Cyril, I do not understand what you mean. I am very serious. I am afraid I cannot exactly show you, if that is what you are asking." Yuzki shifted on a foot, a bit uncomfortable. He did not like having to explain, or making himself a center. Though if they ever actually wanted to see him feed, it could probably be arranged. He coughed quietly and looked back up at the Ringmaster, fixating him the eye. He was trying to send a quiet message, maybe more could be discussed later. " The day is not getting any younger sire." TEMPLATE BY SAMARECARM OF OTE + BTN

She couldn't exactly say /Trust me, he's a vampire/. While yes, she knew very well that he was a vampire, she still wasn't sure if the Ringmaster knew about... about her letting him feed on her. Technically she helped him break the rules. He was only supposed to feed when he was given permission, but... she let him. She couldn't really remember much of that time anyway, so it really didn't matter.
Besides, who even jumped to that conclusion? She had watched over a few of Yuzki's feedings before, and had helped calm him down when he got drunk. And she had seen his sins. She was just being paranoid and stupid. Most likely, Alistair wouldn't have even cared if he knew. It happened so long ago, he wouldn't punish them for it, right?
"He's a vampire Cyril. And he's not the only myth we have around here. You're going to need to open your mind." Every legend, no matter how wild, had a grain of truth in it. Aveira had learned that lesson many times over.
And if every legend had a basis in fact...where did that leave her own future?
No. She wouldn't think about that. Not right now at least. Right now she needed to focus on the sea urchin and his brother. So she was quiet, watching to see what would happen next.

These adults sure were persistent. Cyril rolled his eyes at both these people's insistence and decided it would be best just to go along with it. Besides, he couldn't handle his brother shaking like a leaf anymore. "Fine." He sighed, irritated. "Whatever you say. In that case I applaud you for your restraint around us. I gotta say, I'm impressed that you passed up this weak, crippled, two-for-one meal right here." Cyril then ran a hand through his messy expresso hair and looked at the ringmaster. "Well, I'm starving. Haven't eaten for days. Can this whole registration thingy wait until like, later tonight?"
The question had completely caught the ringmaster off guard. Alistair had seemingly lost himself in his own mind following the question about his own monstrosity. If it hadn't been for the provoking statement from Yuzki, he might have stayed in dormancy. "Hm?" Sleepy red eyes flicked up to the melted together boys, the irises in them smooth as liquid. "Oh... Well, if you desire to... I suppose I can dismiss you two with a key to a room and your forms to full out later... The room will just have the essentials, but you can embellish it on a subsequent date... You two are free to go if you desire to explore as you please..." Slowly his eyes drifted over to Yuzki, a soft smile creeping across his face. "Mister Yuzki, you may take the rest of the day off... I may need help later with filing the archives, though I am sure I can manage myself..." His slow-as-molasses stare then proceeded on to Aveira. "If you could be ever so kind, will you please attend Master Cyril and Master Lyric to the dining hall..? Please make sure they eat well and stay safe..."An exasperated sigh was then heard from Cyril after this. Well, at least he was going to get something to eat. There had better be some damn good food where they were going. The Ringmaster then pulled a key from his drawer and the paper from on top of the desk. He outstretched his hand to give it to the boys. Quickly Cyril reached over to the pile to try to avoid as much contact with this man as possible. After stuffing it into his seemingly bottomless messenger bag, he turned towards the door and limped like a brain damaged zombie forward.
"Alright, you heard the man. Leggo."

((Gonna time skip to the dinning hall if you guys don't mind- also not done Carter's new profile but you all know him so I hope it's okay))
Yuzki narrowed his eyes, even more narrowed than they already were. "Believe me- the thought hasn't passed my mind. Yuzki responded with a cold voice, one that meant he was not kidding. His face brightened though at Alistair, as he heard he was free from duty for the night. "Thank you very much dear sir! If anyone needs me- I will be by the ranch pound fishing. I've always wanted to try fishing. With a sweep of his black tail-coat, and a slam of the door, Yuzki was gone into the evening air.
Inside the dinning hall, a bustle of activity was occurring. People moved back and forth and in-between lines to get food. A huge fireplace stood in the middle, and a podium for announcements stood proudly off to the side. Long, cafeteria, tables were lined up, slowly filling with all different types of freaks. Chatter was everywhere as people conversed about the day. Dim lights hung from the celling, a few dusty cobwebs waved gently off the light fixtures. All types of food wafted from the back of the dining hall where the buffet was located. All in all, it was a cozy place to be right now.
Suddenly, there was a crash of plates and a shatter of a glass. Two figures jumped up on one of the tables, sending food flying in all directions. One of the boys, was quite a sight to see. His hair was a bright, natural orange. Two, twitching, brown, cat, ears stuck up from his head, no normal ears in sight. Huge fangs hung down below his chin, thick, bony, and deeply sharp. His eyes were a deep amber, and they burned with an angry passion. Orange fur crawled up his arms, passed his elbow. He wore no shirt, a lot of guys didn't wear shirts during the summer time, and black pants. A chain necklace swung around his neck. Huge, solid, claws were in place of nails, and they unsheathed and sheathed constantly. A small, ringed tail, twitched from a cut-out in his pants.
The other boy was mousy and thin, and seemed to cower under the other boy's thick rule. Though a sly smile was stretched on his face. Carter roared like a tiger would roar before attacking his prey. He pounced, bouncing off his feet lightly and went to snatch the kid. The kid zipped away, his power being speed. Carter hit thin air and almost lost his balance, he twisted back around, plates spiraling in all directions. The boy laughed: "Come and get it kitty, you, sick, little, piece of-" His words were caught off as Carter slammed into his chest mid-scentence. He had surprised Mr. Zippy, and his claws sank into the boy's shirt and skin. He lifted him effortlessly off the ground with one hand, the fur on his arm sticking up like a scared cat. A normal human should never be able to do this. The crowd was cheering and screaming, making a circle around the table. Carter brought his hand down, slamming the boy against the table with a nasty thud, and went to lean down over him. The crowd screaming "cat fight! Finish him!""You leave your filthy hands off me. Carter hissed, venom seeping into his words.

Just once. Just once in her life, she would like to have a calm and relaxing dinner. Just once. Once.
Of course, that would never happen. Aveira and friends had just walked through the door into Circo-brand Chaos. And who would be the cause of this chaos? Of course, Cyril's newest best friend. Aveira strode forward, every ounce of authority just blazing off of her. "Carter Walker!" Her voice echoed through the dining all, driving a few of the more submissive oddities into silence. "Carter Walker, get off that boy right now."
Of course, knowing the half-animal boy, the boy getting his ass handed to him was probably the one who caused the fight. He had never really done anything to cause fights, he just finished them. That, at least, she was thankful for. Had he caused the fights, he would have gotten kicked out of Circo a very long time ago.

God, it was a good thing they shook off Yuzki. Anymore of that creepy bloodsucker and he just thought he was going to die. On the way to the dining hall, the twins' heads were filled with thoughts of the potential culture shock that would ensue. What kind of freaks were in that building? Were there any? What if there were...? Well, this place was pretty much a weird dream as it is. If it was a reality and everything normal society had glued into their mind would be proven false, then so be it. It wasn't like the two had much of an option in their home.
Cyril's milky hand shoved open the swing doors of the cafeteria. Everything about it seemed so archaic. Buffets lined a third of the massive building's area, the waster seating space made up for in a wrap-around balcony second floor. Tables both rectangular and circular scattered around, most of them empty. It was around seven or so. Most have already eaten and left. However, this did not mean the action was gone. For some reason, there was a herd of oddities around what seemed like an impromptu fighting arena. The last of the staff had left with Aveira's arrival, leaving her to deal with the scrap. From this pit there were all sorts of horrendous, cat-like screeches. Lyric had covered up his ears, though it seemed to draw Cyril in. As much as he wanted something to eat, temptation overflowed him as to investigate.
Even though Aveira had departed to tranquilize the scenario, it wouldn't be sedated for long. He looked at Lyric with a devilish grin as he hatched a plan. Well, what day was better than today to establish a foundation for respect around here?
Cyril fumbled to climb atop a rectangular table and proceeded to walk forward to the fight. He watched in self-proclaimed superiority as Aveira scolded a... Was that... A cat boy? Did he have fur? Were those ears? For some reason, Cyril found this hilarious. Thank god he didn't strike a bet with the lady about this place because he would have lost that one! Lyric tugged on his shoulder as he tried to get Cyril to realize that he was famished and causing a fight with a genuine mutant was not the best idea. Of course, Cyril's logic had failed him. Into his messenger bag his devious little hand went. He searched blindly for something and perked up when it had been found. Out he slowly pulled a small sack of marbles and a hand carved, genuine traditional slingshot. Lyric began to shake his brother, though Cyril was too far gone into temptation to care. He shook his hips to shake him off and proceeded to load and raise his slingshot. That obnoxious mop of orange hair seemed like a perfect target. Ever so slowly, he pulled back...
PLUNK!
He was in for it now. No matter, the turf wars were worth everything. "Here kittykittykitty..." He then made mock calling noises. The crowd slowly turned towards him. "And who might this fine pussy cat be?" He chuckled and leaned against a support beam, his brother tucking himself behind it.

Carter spat on the boy's face, a nasty display of saliva, his yellow-tooth fangs rising into the air angrily. He was about to bring them down, and basically stab the boy under him when a voice boomed out in the dinning hall. It was a good thing, for Carter could have caused some serious damage on his own. He was known for his duel-personalities, one being the raging beast he was in now. It was driven by years and years of built up anger, hate, pain and torture. It was designed by his creators to be animal and beast-like, he was shifted with a saber tooth tiger after all. The other personalities were child-like, and he often shifted in and out randomly, not even knowing what he was doing. Blood was the only thing on Carter's mind right now though, so much for the raw stake he was about to eat. "Of coarse." [/color] Carter picked up the boy with one hand and through him off the table, where he landed on the floor. The boy groaned, stood up, and sped off and out of the dining hall. Carter growled deep in his throat, and narrowed his eyes, until the black slits were barley noticeable. The room was deathly silent now, all heads turned towards where the newcomers had walked in. Carter was still standing on the table, ruined plates and food everywhere. BONK! Something hit Carter in the head, making he thrust his head back and rub the area he got hit. He looked down blinking at what hit him. He picked up the marble, and studied it, and very slowly raised his eyes to face the conjoined twins. He looked at them, clearly shocked at what he was seeing. Carter was use to seeing freaks, his soon gay lover was freaking invisible. Though this was just messed up so much. It must be their first day. Cute. He woke up in a padded cage his first day. He held up the marble in two claws. "You're f****** kidding right?[/color] [/blockquote]

A defenseless boy who had probably just said the wrong thing at the wrong moment? Yeah, Aveira would step in for that. And she had. While Carter was still clearly pissed off, she had been well on her way to calming the boy down. She and Carter, she would like to believe the two of them had a special connection. It had come from shared pasts, of both being experimented freaks. Maybe of the respect she had shown him, how she hadn't shown fear when meeting him. Whatever it was, Aveira was pretty sure she could have calmed him down and the Ringmaster didn't have to know this little show happened.
And then Cyril happened. How often would she be saying that now?
Would she step in when the boy deserved it? She looked around. Was Yuzki currently in the building? No. He probably would be soon though, if he and Carter still had the bond. Was the Ringmaster anywhere to be seen? No. Were there any staff still around? No. What of the children, were they the kind to rat her out? No.
So no, she wasn't going to step in. At least, not completely. "Carter, don't you dare kill them." There. That was all she had to do. Now to watch as the attack-cat put the sea urchin in it's place. She even stepped out of the way.

Cyril watched the speedy kid zip away with mild interest. Eh, he can run away. Big deal. The freaks alarmed him, but he had bigger fish to fry. This fish happened to be the saber toothed kitty. Wow, saber toothed. Just what kind of medicine was he given in the hospital? No matter. The thought was soon shaken off. Cyril rested one foot on top a stack of trays, his arms resting upon his knees. He glared down to Carter as if he were superior. "Keep on stating big boy. Take a good gander at the guy who's gonna bring you down." He only gave a sideways glance at Aveira before looking back at the cat. "Carter, eh? Nice name. Name's Sullivan. Cyril Sullivan. This is my bro Lyric. Ain't that funny? Our names or anagrams for each other. Anyway, that's not important. Put your hands on him and I'll break your neck." He chuckled murkily, twirling the slingshot in his hand.
"Please... Cyril... Don't do this..." His twin suddenly snaked from behind the pole and whispered into his brother's ear. As soon as he met the glare of the prehistoric beast he cowered behind him. "I'm sorry my brother is causing you trouble. If we just could...."
Cyril cut him off as he looked Carter dead in the eye. He then looked at the crowd with an arrogant, smug grin. "This cat ain't nothing. Watch and learn freaks." Cyril then did what no man should do. His adrenaline from his past fight successes ran through his head as he lifted his one foot up. The seemingly crippled boy then performed the unthinkable. In a split second he kicked both his feet up, one kicking forth a lunch tray and the other giving him enough propulsion to land on top of the stack. The tray received so much force that the plastic rectangle flew straight out and smacked hard against Carter's face. "Let's boogey."
