The youthful boy below who turned your way and saw
Floors creaked as oddities moved back and forth between wooden tables. A fire place stood silent in the center of the large room, and a podium was next to it for announcements. Behind the fireplace were huge tables and stations full of different food. All sorts of scents wafted around the hot room. There were many types of food for the the oddities, such as raw meats, and stacks of hay. Fish and kelp was being served in a bowl near the end. There had to be many different accommodations made to fit many different types of freaks. -
Something he was not looking for: both a beginning and an end
Two uncomfortable figures sat in the back of the room, in a sheltered table. One went by the name Lanos. He looked very outdated in his white robes and golden sashes. His long white and silver hair was pulled back into a pony tail, and a few loose strands hung in his face. Huge, white, glowing wings were folded neatly over one another. A few loose feathers littered the ground around the table. The other figure did not look so pretty. His clothes were tattered, and broken. A heavy chain rested at a bruised neck. He had greasy, black hair that hung sloppy around his face, but spiked all the way up, and gradually turned red. His eyes were gleaming with distaste, and teeth stuck jagged from his mouth. He seemed to almost shy behind his brother at the seats. Around his back were two, leathery and almost fragile wings. They resembled a bat, and an almost oil coated the material, and veins bulged through them
But now he lives inside someone he does not recognize
- The two brothers had arrived a night ago, and while so opposite they couldn't be separated. "Come, Etzanal. Let us go feed ourselves." Lonos spoke with sweetness in his voice, and gestured for Etzanal to stand. He did so silently, and awkwardly and they headed to thee food bar. A strange thing seemed to happen as Etzanal walked near his brother. Shadows danced around his feet. Literally, huge puffs of blackness rolled gently like fog. Some people gaped and started the ugly figure, but they said nothing. Etzanal's eyes widened when he saw the amount of food. The greed in him wanted it all, and he didn't want to share. However, Lanos rested a gloved hand on Etzanal's shoulder sensing his rise in attitude. "Now brother, take only what you need, not what you want." He spoke with direct orders, as if he were a brother scolding a child. Etzanal swatted the hand away with talon-like nails. "I know Lanos, back off would you? I can handle myself." The blackness around his feet engulfing him more, now up to his knees.
When he catches his reflection on accident

Lilly watched the crowd of friends and family, hidden up in the rafters of the dining room. She wasn't supposed to be up there, she would have hell to pay if Aveira saw her, but Lilly didn't care. She had yet to meet the newcomers and the highest point of the room was the best place to spot them. Certainly if she mentioned she was just trying to make new friends the Ringmaster would let her off with a warning. Hopefully.
Besides, at least she was /at/ the dining hall. A certain friend of hers had decided to skip and she had almost gone with them. She could have gone on and planned every word of the argument she would present, but her thoughts were cut short by a ruckus below. Something was happening. Warm brown eyes instantly locked on the cause, and a smile graced her pale pink lips. There were her future friends, a guy who looked like an angel and his brother who...
He looked like he needed a shower mostly. Oh well. A friend was a friend was a friend. Maybe he couldn't take showers. Maybe his skin was too sensitive for that or something. After glancing around to make sure no one had yet to notice her, Lily made her way back down to the ground.
It was actually quite remarkable, the way she had done it. She stood and jumped back a little from the rafter, grabbing the wood just before she actually truly fell. Swinging ever so slightly, she took to the air as if she was a trapeze artist. A chair was her target, one foot landing on the seat while the other landed on the back. Of course it fell too, but that was the point. She tucked into a roll, rolling once before popping up to her feet once more.
Success. She looked around with a laugh, quickly vanishing into the crowd to worm her way towards the brothers. She approached them with a warm smile, rocking ever so slightly on the balls of her feet. "Hi, we haven't met yet. I'm Lillian, but you can call me Lilly."

Lanos looked down at the piles of food in bowls. Back in his hometown, the food looked nothing like this. He was use to greens and freshly picked fruit. The meat was brought in by local butchers. Lanos looked down at a bowl of strange noodles, a yellow coating that smelled like cheese wafted into his nose. He leaned over, the folded wings rustled and readjusted on their own, almost like involuntary muscles. "What is a macaroni and cheese?" He spoke out loud thoughtfully. He blinked slowly and brushed some silver hair from his face. He was quite the sight. Lanos picked up the ladle and put some on his plate. This strange place he had been invited too was so alien, it was like living on a different planet sometimes. The people here talked different, and dressed different. He wondered if should find matching clothing.
All Lanos knew last was that his "father" had punished Lanos for freeing Etzanol from the years in prison. Prison being chained to the ground for hundreds and hundreds of years.
Speaking of Etzanol, he was off to the side slouching. He growled at anyone who dare look him the eye, and every time he did growl the same blackness swirled around his feet, causing parts of him to disappear. The blackness was simply pure shadow, which would seem very illogical, because it was. How could there be shadow when there wasn't a direct light source? In fact where there was a light source, there wasn't a shadow. Etzanal had literally sucked the shadows away like a breath. He was a walking freak show. His leathery wings were unfolded slightly, pinning up like a scared cat with its fur up with fear.
Lanos went to grab Etzanol by the shoulder to drag him back, but Etzanol threw up his hand and the shadows followed, his eyes turning a solid red. "Don't touch me." He hissed, sounding like an angry snake. The shadows trailed around his hand like Christmas tree garland.
Lanos paused and closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Etzanol- please try to calm yourself down. When will you ever learn?" Lanos turned around, realizing Etzanol had made himself the center of attention in the small dining hall.
"When will I learn what?" He spat and pointed a finger at Lanos, and the shadows spiraled towards him, in a horrific shadowy display, tints of blue sparked in the foggy mess. Without even turning around, Lanos raised his hand, a nearby lamp went out as he inhaled the light. It was an amazing sight. The crowd who had been watching, ducked as an electric ball rammed into Lanos' hand. Just as the shadow was about to engulf Lanos flicked his wrist back and the light flashed out the shadow in a split second. "That darkness will never win." He murmured sadly before moving back into line. The crowds dispersed, murmuring to themselves about the ruckus they had caused.
Suddenly, a figure approached the boys, as Etzanol has fallen silent behind him. He had admitted defeat. The girl introduced herself, she was a quirky, and peppy female. "Hello. I'm Lanos, and this my brother Etzanol." Lanos spoke as if nothing had happened an returned the smile graciously.

"Lanos." Lilly looked into his golden eyes as she said his name. It was a beautiful color, almost like when the sun had just finished rising but hadn't yet fully joined the sky. That was how she would remember his name for now on, that particular shade of yellow.
She did the same with the next boy, showing no hesitation or really any negative emotion as she looked into his eyes. "And Etzanal." Black and red, kinda like old rust. But that was not what caught her attention and cemented his name. It was the tattoos, and her eyes followed them.
She wouldn't forget their names now, she was sure of it. Of those she had met at Circo, and she had met many in her short stay, she had yet to forget a name. "Etzanal and Lanos." That sounded much better, if only because the E was coming before the L like it should have been. "Well, welcome to Circo! I've been here a week." And what an amazing week it was. In a rush, everything that had happened passed through her head, her smile only growing. She had loved every moment. She had made new friends, and all of them loved her. All of them supported her. She had yet to fail once, and she didn't believe she ever would again.
"If you want, I can sit with you. I know how scary it is to be here at first. But you're going to love it here. This place is perfect."

Lanos smiled at her again, and nodded. With a swoop of his hands he pulled his hair back behind his head. It was almost white, with a tiny bit of silver. It gave it a shiny look.
Etzanal stared at her with a rather grumpy, and pouty look. He crossed his arms, the claws resting heavily on each arm. He didn't look her in the eye when she said his name, but rather off to the side. For once in his life he wished he had his brother's good looks and sweet voice, but no he had to be mad to look like a mixed up demon. In a way he kind of was, and it made him bitterly angry and resentful. Though slowly the darkness around him slowly faded into a light fog.
"Thank you for the welcome...Lilly." Lanos said nodding thoughtfully, and trying out her name. "It's been many years it seems since we last were awake, nothing here is remotely similar to anything we had back where we came from." He realized though, with confusion, he was having trouble even remembering where that was. "We would be grateful for the company." Lanos said and finished adding some strange food and moved over to the benches they came from. "Are we not?" Lanos said looking over his shoulder at Etzanol who was fiddling with his chains and holding a plate. "Yes of coarse." He muttered and sat down next to his brother in a haunches over position.
((Meep sorry!))

Did she want a plate? She may as well. She wasn't exactly hungry, but she didn't want the boys to feel awkward about beating in front of her. Did... Did guys even feel awkward about things like that? She knew girls did, but... why were boys so weird? Blah. Whatever. So she got a plate, quickly filling it with some of her favorite things, before joining them at the table.
She plopped down happily across from the two boys, taking a sip of a drink she'd snagged. She used the time to look the two over. Lanos looked like he fell out of heaven or something. Rather amusing, but she didn't find herself affected by it. Unless he actually proved that he was from heaven, she wasn't going to be impressed. She had learned very quickly not to be impressed. There were far too many people here with gifts far more amazing than the last.
Etzanal however... He kind of looked pitiful. But would Lillian comment on that? No. If that's how he choose to dress and behave, so be it. Everyone was free to be whoever they wanted to be at Circo.
What could she ask them? So many questions were possibly loaded. She really didn't want to upset them. She liked making new friends. "Where did you two come from? I've never seen anyone like you."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,425,true] [atrb=style,background-color: #EFEFEF;]❝ L Etzanal tore into his plate with sharp teeth. The teeth of what a shark might have, or more so a demon. He didn’t take time to savor the meal, and he didn’t take time to even really see what he was eating. He hadn’t many manners, and he hadn’t any patience it seemed. His red eyes glinted brightly as he gorged himself. The thick chain, was clanking nosily on the table. The chain was a sign of his imprisonment, when Lanos was forced to chain him to the stake for many years. It looked like he hadn’t eaten in years, which might as well be true with their case. His wings fanned out in the back, the leathery, veiny skin showing. Lanos was a bit more tender with his food, lifting it was fork and eating normally for a person. His white attire seemed out of place here, but it was common where he had come from. He decided mentally to find these types of clothes another day. He might as well try to fit into these strange people’s customs. When she presented the question, both boys looked up, and glanced at each other. It might have been the first signs of understanding they had ever shown. It was true; they were one of a kind. No one else looked like them. They weren’t human, yet they were at the same time. The place they came from, worshiped Lanos. They regarded him as a figure that brought good crops, and defeated the demon. He had been punished when he had helped Etzanal, seeing past his born ways. Their amnesia was a problem however; it blurred parts of their past and morphed different settings and times with others. ”I’m sorry, we have trouble remembering where we came from.” Lanos said troubled. Etzanal piped in quickly, for once not seeming agitated. ”We think what is known as Greece however.” They had been born to speak many languages, which is why they could both speak and understand English.

Greece! Lillian grinned, leaning forward slightly. "Greece sounds so amazing. I would love to see the temples one day." Hopefully she would see them before all the normal humans destroyed them though. She read far too many stories about how tourists were destroying places like that. It was sad, in all honesty.
In the future, would people see the modern cities the same way as people now saw the Greek temples and Egyptian pyramids?
Maybe one day the circus would do a performance in Greece and she'd get her wish. That would be amazing. And maybe if she pouted enough and begged the two boys in front of her would give her a tour.
Oh, better idea. Maybe they could hold her and fly...so she could fly too...
She was getting distracted. Her smile faded ever so lightly, her head tilting. "I'm sorry it's hard for you to remember." What could she tell them about herself? "I didn't come from anywhere cool. Honestly, until the Circo found me, I lived a normal life..." Which she wasn't really happy about. Her normal life had sucked, and even though everyone else's past was a thousand times worse... she wanted a past like theirs. She wanted to fit in. An impulse that always got her in trouble. "But I've moved all over the US."
