She's Always Watching

Aveira Sterling

What can be said about her? Having lived through the worst humanity has to offer, it's surprising how much she believes in Circo and those within it. This oddity is almost always around somewhere, on the lookout for anything Security needs to get involved in, but she never really gets involved with her fellow oddities on a day-to-day level.
Is it impossible? Of course not. Under all her darkness and wallflower tendencies, there's a person with wants and needs just like everyone else. So feel free to strike up a conversation! She may leave you hanging, but your effort is noted and appreciated.

Neutral

Almost everyone starts out here. She's a bit rough around those she feels neutral about, a little easier to anger, but can one blame her? She'll do her duty of course, should these oddities need her, but she will not actively make them part of her life.

Cyril

Ah Cyril. What can she say about the boy? He's a mess. He has so much work to do, and though he seems to have a special talent for pissing her off, Aveira believes in him. Or maybe it's just because she likes the conjoined twin Lyric. Time will tell.

Hikaru

Sharing a gift with the Ringmaster did not assure him a spot in Aveira's heart. She sees him as a child, jumping at everything and reacting with sarcasm and violence. Though, with his gift, she has no right to judge. She has seen Yuzki and Alistair go through the same thing, as well as herself. Not to mention all the other oddities who are scared of their gifts. She believes that Hikaru will get better, and has decided to keep an eye on him.

Zero

The woman who walks through time and space. Aveira isn't yet sure how she feels for this woman. She respects her, of course, but... Zero told her that she will lose her sanity, that she's been broken in every single future she's walked. Aveira can't quite like someone after being told something like that. And the fact that, in some futures, she caused Circo's fall...

Raisa

As much as she loves children, Aveira doesn't allow herself to befriend them. She feels guilty making friends with people her own age, much less a child. At least someone her age has a chance against her should the dark impulses finally win out. She does like the little girl though, and will sometimes seek her out just to watch her. Full of so much innocence, she shines with a light Aveira never really knew.

Friends

Friends. Aveira does make friends, has people that she makes a point of seeing every day, but most wouldn't realize she sees them that way. She looks upon them favorably however, and it shows in almost everything she does around them. She'll do near anything they ask of her. She'll warn them for things she would have punished anyone else for. Being Aveira's friend is a very good thing, even if she doesn't show the warmth most expect and need.

Carter

This boy. He's a headache Aveira honestly doesn't mind having. Though he has nearly every trait she despises, somewhere they became friends. She's not even sure when she started caring about this troubled cat, but care she does. She looks out for him from the shadows and is there for him nearly every time she's needed. They seem to have an understanding, and with a glance they seem to just connect. Because of their shared past maybe? Because they both understand the feeling of losing oneself? She does know, nor does she care. She's just happy he's around and will do anything to keep it that way.

PJ

Carter's constant companion has wormed his way onto this list as well. Is it strange to be friends with someone one has never seen? A little bit. Aveira doesn't mind his gift though. Her training helps her to track where he is and besides, it's his gift that allowed her to bond with him. He's extremely smart and sees the world in a totally different way, and Aveira loves it. He's one of the few she feels free talking to, and talk she does. While she does not actively seek him out, when he's around she tends to talk to him about whatever's bothering her. This favor is returned, of course. She can only hope he feels the same.

Lyric

Where as Cyril reminds Aveira of a less-likeable Carter, Lyric reminds her of PJ. And, just like the invisible man, she's found she likes the boy. He's incredibly smart and just keeps on absorbing information. Maybe it's because his life is so controlled by his brother. Still, Aveira very much likes him. While she doubts that she'll have heart-to-hearts with the boy, she does plan on seeking him out and maybe sharing some of her knowledge with him. And, though she'll never tell, she has begun researching ways to separate the boys, as she feels their 'gift' truly is a curse.

Enemies

As distant and prickly as Aveira tends to be, it's difficult to actually become her enemy. Maybe it's the Ringmaster and Circo rubbing off on her. Still, she does try to see the good in people and tries extremely hard to keep her patience. Heaven save whoever truly pisses her off, for those dark thoughts have only gotten louder.

Lovers

Love. Such a beautiful rush of warmth and pain. She wants so badly to love. She really really does. But with her inability to touch and the constant threat of insanity, does she have any right to it? She doesn't believe so.

Alistair

She loves him, and that is all she knows. He saved her from her captives, is completely exempt from her powers, always seems to know what to say and do. She adores him with a passion but she can't really give a name to the love. And, so, she doesn't speak of it. Even to herself. It shows though, in her work. She does absolutely anything she can for him and the Circo he holds so dear. Maybe one day she'll understand how she feels or him.

Yuzki

She's seen his sins and discovered the joy of touch. That alone would have been enough to win her over. Why is it that Aveira finds herself so drawn to him? Is it the empathy bond they now share? The fact that he does truly care for her? Or maybe she's just lost in the inhumanness of him. Whatever it is, she's become hooked. While her fear of love keeps her from really interacting with him, every once in awhile she drops her guard. A night stroll, hand in hand. A quiet chat somewhere in the darkness. A simple cuddle until she falls asleep. He's the only one she's ever really shown her softer side to and he's yet to abuse it. Besides, maybe she'll become a meal before she loses her mind.
